Tips for Next-Level Flavor
-
Add a splash of white wine to the sauce for depth.
-
A pinch of cayenne or hot sauce balances richness.
-
Mix cheeses: cheddar = sharpness, Gruyère = creaminess, Parmesan = umami.
Variations
-
Truffle lobster mac: drizzle truffle oil before serving
-
Spicy Cajun version: add Cajun seasoning + andouille sausage
-
Lighter version: skip cream, use more milk + less cheese
